What is the project about?
The Austrian Patient Advisory Board discusses and shapes healthcare issues, contributes to research projects on patient safety and empowerment, and represents the views of citizens and patients in the public health debate in Austria. An initial rough work plan was drawn up with health experts and members of the public. The 18 members of the Patient Advisory Board are now finalising the work plan and taking part in workshops on patient-centred research, ethics and open innovation in science.
What is the goal of the project?
Members of the public assess project ideas put forward by organisations and institutions in the healthcare sector to ensure they meet patients’ needs. The aim is to ensure that patients’ voices and needs are incorporated into projects at the earliest possible stage.
Who participates in the project?
Citizens
Health experts
How are participants involved in the project?
