Kickoff for the LBG OIS Early Career Researcher Award 2025

Early Career Researchers at Ludwig Boltzmann Institutes (LBIs) and Clinical Research Groups (KFGs) can now submit their research projects for the LBG OIS Early Career Researcher Award 2025. The award honors projects that utilize Open Innovation in Science (OIS) methods to address societal challenges.
The goal of this scientific award is to increase the visibility of OIS projects, promote exchange between science and society, and inspire others to apply open and participatory research approaches.
Three awards will be granted:

OIS Award (€2,000) for a particularly innovative project

WKÖ Foundation Award for Knowledge Transfer & Utilization (€2,000)

Support Package for a project with development potential, including individual consultation from the OIS Center
Eligible applicants are Early Career Researchers in the doctoral phase, early postdoc phase, or transition to independent research. Submissions should include a poster draft that clearly illustrates the project and its OIS components.
Award-winning projects, selected by a jury, will be presented and promoted at the OIS zam: Forum in Vienna on October 9–10, 2025.
