Early Career Researchers at Ludwig Boltzmann Institutes and Clinical Research Groups can submit their research projects for the LBG OIS Early Career Researcher Award 2025 until June 13, 2025. The award recognizes projects that apply methods of Open Innovation in Science (OIS) and address societal challenges.

The aim of the award is to increase the visibility of OIS projects, promote exchange between science and society, and inspire others to adopt open and participatory research approaches.

Three prizes will be awarded:

• OIS Prize (€ 2,000) for a particularly innovative project

• WKÖ Foundation Prize for Knowledge Transfer & Utilization (€ 2,000)

• Support Package for a project with development potential, including personalized consulting by the OIS Center

Eligible applicants are Early Career Researchers in the dissertation phase, early postdoc phase, or transitioning to independent research. Submissions consist of a poster draft that clearly presents the project along with its OIS components.

The winning entries, selected by a jury, will be presented and promoted at the OIS zam: Forum, taking place October 9–10, 2025 in Vienna.

The submission deadline is June 13, 2025.
