We are pleased to invite you to our upcoming webinar in the „Ethics and Inclusion in Research“ series. On October 24, 2024, from 1:00 to 2:00 PM (CET), we will explore the topic of „Inclusion Health: Considerations on Physical and Mental Health.“

Health care and health-related outcomes are determined by various factors at the individual, societal, and systemic levels. Mental and physical health mutually influence each other, and this webinar aims to provide insight into the factors that shape these outcomes. We will also explore approaches to reduce health-related disparities and promote inclusive health care.

The speaker

Our speaker, Katrin Schäfer, is a PhD student in Public Health at the Medical University of Vienna and a research associate in the Community Health Lab. She completed her master’s degree in Psychology with a specialization in Clinical and Health Psychology at the University of Vienna in 2022. Katrin has diverse experience, from working as a teaching assistant at the Medical University of Vienna to leading research on digital mind-body interventions. She also gained experience in psychosocial care and worked on projects in child and adolescent psychiatry at the Vienna General Hospital (AKH) and Charité Universitätsmedizin Berlin.
Currently, Katrin is focusing on participatory research aimed at combining science-based health promotion with the lived experience of individuals, particularly in cancer prevention among those experiencing mental ill-health. Her experience and passion for improving health outcomes at the individual, group, and societal levels make her an excellent speaker for this webinar.
