Participatory and Transdisciplinary Research

We support researchers and institutions in making research transdisciplinary, participatory and inclusive – for fair and innovative solutions in science and society.

In the “Participatory and transdisciplinary Research” unit, we support researchers working in the life sciences and scientific institutions in (co-)designing and conducting participatory and inclusive research projects. Our goal is to contribute to advancing sustainable and responsible transformations in research. We focus on transdisciplinary collaboration between science and society, bringing together diverse stakeholders to co-develop and test fair and innovative approaches.

Our goal

We support researchers in actively engaging the general public and underrepresented groups in the research process, ensuring that equal opportunities are considered from the very beginning in research and transformation processes. Additionally, we aim to enhance scientific and health literacy of the general population, inform the public about participation opportunities, and encourage diverse groups to get involved in research.
