Involvement
We involve stakeholders from various disciplines and specialist areas in the research process.
Involvement at the LBG OIS Center means conducting research together with diverse – and often unconventional – stakeholders and integrating their knowledge into projects. Based on our Open Innovation in Science Framework, we focus on fostering collaboration across disciplinary and organizational boundaries, enriching the research process with different forms of knowledge.
Using the expertise and experiential knowledge of civil society
Our activities primarily focus on Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement (PPIE) and Priority Setting. Within PPIE, the expertise and experiential knowledge of civil society and patients are actively integrated into the research process – not merely as study participants but as co-creators of the process. Priority Setting, on the other hand, provides a structured approach in which various stakeholder groups are invited to identify relevant research questions or topics. These are then prioritized to inform the scientific community about key needs.
With years of experience in this field, the Involvement Team is a strong partner when it comes to facilitating and implementing these activities and projects.
