Roles in EU projects
Screen4Care: Accelerating diagnosis for rare disease patients through genetic newborn screening and artificial intelligence
The OIS Center is part of an international consortium consisting of 35 partner organizations that aims to tackle the major hurdle for rare disease patients – the lengthy and convoluted diagnosis journey – via an innovative research approach based on two central pillars: genetic newborn screening and artificial intelligence (AI)-based tools. In the project, the OIS Center leads the involvement of co-researchers from relevant stakeholder groups (patients, healthcare professionals, administrators in healthcare institutions, IT specialists, etc.) in the development of an open innovation platform.
RiConfigure: How do we include civil society in the innovation process?
The EU Horizon 2020 research project „Ri Configure“ investigated via several social experiments what makes collaborative innovation processes between the public sector, industry, academia, and civil society successful. In this project, the LBG OIS Center designed and developed three training programs based on the findings.
