The LBG Open Innovation in Science Center is established to implement and investigate Open Innovation in Science (OIS) practices in research.
Open Innovation in Science (OIS) is a process of purposively enabling open, inter- and transdisciplinary collaborations along one or more stages of the scientific research process, to improve the novelty, efficiency, and societal impact of scientific research.
The LBG OIS Center conducts research on OIS, experiments with OIS practices and offers OIS support services in form of funding, consultation, trainings and OIS resources for the scientific community. In particular, our implementation expertise supports researchers and research institutions to involve stakeholders at different steps along the research process, to improve the novelty, efficiency, and societal impact of scientific research.
